Let’s cut out the middleman and save time by just telling the insurance companies that they have till January 1 to decide what they want the reforms to be. Whatever they propose becomes law.
Micah,
How do you know that's not already there, buried deep in the 2,000 pages?
Just saying.
I'm sure this was all worked out months if not years ago. What we see now is the made for TV movie.
Only Burt Lancaster can save us now! Oh, wait-
Jonathan,
The bill gives a deadline of January 1, 2011. I don't want to wait that long.
I meant "oh wait" because I forgot he was deceased. I guess it would've made more sense if I said Henry Fonda or John Wayne.
(Wayne would've made you hold your horses.)
The perfect end to this absurdist play would be for the Republicans to suddenly introduce a stripped-down single-payer bill at the last moment, so the democrats and their water carriers can denounce it, but I'll admit I don't see that happening.
