a disappointing development
I used to like Lori Harfenist's video blogs, but I guess she has turned into a reactionary. Too bad.
an update: the main wikileaks site appears to be down, or at least not accessible here in North Texas. This mirror site seems to work.

You're so right, Jon. This young woman was such a pleasure to see and hear--but now? She's turned into a baby Palin. Love that "no investigation needed" (just hang 'em when you see 'em). She seems to think the NYTimes is a hotbed of the progressive movement---what?! Hey, Lori, don't let the door hit you on the way out...
BTW, I just wrote out a check for the Wikileaks "defence" fund and will send it via regular mail tomorrow. Address is on the web site, which I had no problem bringing up.
She says "it's pretty obvious he's an enemy of the United States at this point" but I don't think that's true, and the burden of proof is supposed to rest on his accusers. But maybe I'm being old fashioned.
She says "it's pretty obvious he's an enemy of the United States at this point"
How do we know he's an enemy of the United States? Does he believe it's wrong to kill innocent people all over the world? Is he trying to stop that?
Yes, cemmacs, that's what he's trying to do, so it's obvious he IS an enemy of the United States.
In that regard, I'm proud to say, "so am I."
There's a good piece about Assenge and the rape charge here:
